THE PHOTOS ABOVE ARE OF Brown-LIVER COLOURED GSDs, I PREFER TO CALL THE COLOUR CHOCOLATE THIS COLOUR IS FROWNED UPON IN THE BREED SHOW RING, MY PERSONAL OPINION,LIKE MAX VON STEFANITZ IS THAT A COLOUR DOES NOT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE TO THE GERMAN SHEPHERD DOGS CAPABILITIES,THEY ARE THE SAME AS ANY OTHER GSD. Some SHOW BREEDERS HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO CULL PUPS WHEN THEY THINK THE COLOUR IS UNDESIREABLE ,WHITES,BLUES AND LIVERS HAVE SUFFERED THIS FATE,HOWEVER GENES ARE CARRIED BY PARENTS AND SIBLINGS,SO THE COLOURS WILL RE-APPEAR FROM TIME TO TIME AS IF FROM NOWHERE.THESE GENES HAVE ALWAYS BEEN THERE , THIS IS THE SAME FOR BRINDLE GERMAN SHEPHERDS WHO ARE A VERY RARELY SEEN PATTERN . COLOUR AND PATTERN DO NOT AFFECT THE CAPABILITIES OF THE DOG. AND SHOULD BE A CHOICE OF PERSONAL PREFERENCE.

  3. I really enjoyed the pics on your site, I have recently acquired a very beautiful liver gsd of impecable pedigree!! We got her as a rescue, unfortunately we didn't get her brother in time, he was culled. This is the most wonderful dog i have ever encountered and i think AKC should take some of the blame(if not all of the blame) for these wonderful gsd being destroyed because of their stupid rules of color discrimination!!! Robin

I live with my gran and we own a veary obediant good natured and a good house dog called Meg, she is a daughter of Max whos hip score was 4/4, she is a veary healthy dog and veary large brilliant natured i love her to bits, my aunty also owns a dog called Zack whos father is your dog Ace. Zack is a wonderfull dog veary obediant lovely natured fantastick with kids briliant tempremant couldet ask for better dog as a pet, keep up the good work Dee fantastick

  14. If anyone in the UK would to get a liver imported please contact me as I have a litter due to be born in about a month. I am expecting liver/tan and liver/sable - both parents are liver and all 4 grandparents are also liver, dad is ofa h/e **Melisa
